The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), until 2007 called the Royal National Institute for the Blind, is a charity with its headquarters based in London, set up by Thomas Rhodes Armitage to lobby for and help people who are blind or partially sighted.

Its patron is the Queen.

It helps anyone in the UK with a sight problem - whether they have been recently diagnosed or have a long-term condition.

We will continue our contact with the Beacon Trust

during the coming year by helping them maintain the garden.

The Beacon Centre has been developed as a joint venture

between the local community,

Surrey Hampshire Borders NHS Trust and Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The Centre is the base of the Beacon Community Cancer and Palliative Care Service

The Beacon Service helps local people at home cope with the effects of cancer

or a life-changing progressive illness.
