July 2011

14 July – Merchant of Venice with the Guildford Shakespeare Company at the College of Law. Picnic from 6.30pm – bring your chairs, picnic rugs and umbrellas! Guests welcome.

21 July – Sun, Snow, Sand and Sea - Mike Danson talks about some of the best bits from his latest trip to the USA at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm. Guests welcome.

28 July – Our profile on the web - Michael Belford at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm

August 2011 (Rotary membership month)

4 Aug – Business Meeting at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
11 Aug – District Governor Visit – Duncan Anderson at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
18 Aug – Cherry Trees – President David’s Charity
23 Aug – RIBI President Visit – Ray Burman at Guildford Castle grounds from 10.30am and lunch at the Hoilday Inn from 12.30pm. This is Tuesday lunchtime.
25 Aug – Chantries Golf Meeting at Roker Park. Golfers tee off and dinner times tbc

September 2011 (Rotary new generations month)

1 Sept – Fun and Fellowship! – games night at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
8 Sept – Business Meeting at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
15 Sept – British Lions Rugby Tours by Tony Richards. ‘Getting into the World Cup state of mind!’ at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
22 Sept – Origins of Surrey Police with Bob Bartlett at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
29 Sept – President’s Quiz at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm

October 2011 (Rotary vocational service month)

6 Oct – Business Meeting at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
13 Oct – Dr Marina Chumakina on Language and Culture – ‘what happens when a language dies out?’ at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm. Guests welcome.
15 Oct – Cabaret Evening with guests at the Holiday Inn. This is a Saturday.
20 Oct – Book festival (details tbc)
22 Oct – Beacon Centre Gardening Club. This is a Saturday morning from 9.30 until 12.30pm
27 Oct – The Butcher of Bookham at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm. Guests welcome

November 2011 (Rotary Foundation month)

3 Nov - ‘Nuclear matters’ by Roger Hull at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
10 Nov – Special General Meeting at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
17 Nov - Bikeathon cheque presentation at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm. Guests welcome.
24 Nov – Skittles Evening at the Grantley Arms in Wonersh. 7 for 7.30pm. Guests welcome.

December 2011 (Rotary family month)

1 Dec – Ian Smith on South East Coast Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
8 Dec – Business Meeting at the Holiday Inn at 7.30 for 8pm
10 Dec – Christmas dinner with Partners. This is a Saturday
15 Dec – Christmas sleigh around Merrow
16 Dec – Carols at Tunsgate for Guildford Action
