How to join

The spirit of Rotary is friendship, goodwill and helping others not so fortunate. We seek out the unfulfilled needs of the local community be it hospital, youth, elderly, disabled etc. But Rotary is so much more, by the Club being part of an international body we are able to send help, effectively focused at times of disaster or famine. We promote international understanding, sponsor health, education and humanitarian programmes in third world countries, our only limit is the extent of money raised each year by Club activities.

After the weekly lunch, or dinner, a guest speaker address the one of the three Guildford Clubs on a topic of general interest. Other meetings take place at which families and friends are specifically invited, parties/barbecues/socials, quiz/race/theatre nights. Fellow Rotarians are made welcome at all other 32,596 Clubs worldwide. Such guests are a regular feature at Club meetings.

We meet each week on a Thursday evening, usually 7.30pm for 8pm dinner. If the diary doesn’t give a different location, we’ll be at the Holiday Inn in Guildford, Egerton Road (near the Surrey Sports Park).
